Description

“The hardest thing in the world to understand is income taxes….” - Albert Einstein

- Have you just moved to the UK? Or are you filing your taxes from the UK for the first time?

- Are you a long-time resident who wants key updates on the US tax code?

- Do you want to maximise the tax effectiveness of your charitable giving to UK and US charities?

Take the pain out of filing your US and UK tax returns in a special workshop for UC alumni with US-UK tax specialist Daniel Jaffe.

Daniel will provide useful insights for US ex-pats with dual-status liabilities with advice on:

  • Filing your US and UK taxes, including filing requirements and coordinating US and UK tax years
  • Issues with foreign income
  • Foreign tax credits
  • Taxation of pension contributions
  • Property regulations that may affect your own business

Guidance on giving to UC tax effectively will also be provided.

This workshop is designed for long-term residents seeking an update on changes in tax legislation, as well as US ex-pats who have just moved to the UK who will be filing their taxes from Europe for the first time.

This workshop is open to all UC alumni and friends and will take place at the lovely Art Worker's Guild.

Tickets include canapes and cocktails.
